Gather the Talents: Meet the Challenge Campaign
Who we are:
Through the Church Council of Greater Seattle, a diverse network of communities and individuals of faith come together to give voice to our faith in unified witness and service. We embrace the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Beloved Community of peace and justice.
During 2012, our activities will serve 11,000 people
directly and 350,000 people indirectly through advocacy, leveraging the
passions of our 350 member churches.
We offer three
arms of programming:
Join us by pitching in with your
time, talent or treasure.
Time and Talent: Volunteer
giving your time and experience. Our committees and taskforces
need those who have know-how in staging events, in analyzing finances, and in
organizing other volunteers. If you have a passion for social justice or
for building ecumenical or interfaith relationships, there is a place for
you on our team. Click here to volunteer.
Sharing Treasure: Donate
friends stand at the ready to increase the impact of your financial gift.
John C. and Karyl Kay Hughes Foundation gave us a $100,000 challenge grant
to match all donations made to the core operations of the Church Council
during 2012. This includes our Social Justice & Ecumenism programs.
Make a donation here to that challenge or to any of our worthy service
May 2, Seattle Foundation will host GiveBIG, a one-day online charitable giving
event. On that one date, all gifts made to us on their website will
receive an extra “stretch” donation from a pool of funds they’ve raised. AND
each hour, one donation will be awarded a Magic Ticket, an additional $1,000
gift. Visit the Church Council’s page at www.seattlefoundation.org on May 2
