About the Weaving Our Strengths Conference
Weaving Our Strengths is a day-long conference of fellowship, inspiration, and skill-building to strengthen local churches' efforts for the common good. It's a great chance to connect across denominations, share best practices, foster spiritually-grounded action, and bring insights and opportunities back to your home congregation.
The day includes worship, 2 sessions of workshops, a resource fair, a celebration of the Gertrude Apel Pioneering Spirit Awardees, and an opportunity to weave together what we've learned.
Last year, in its second year, over 200 attendees from 16 faith traditions, at least 60 congregations, and 22 cities in King, South Snohomish, and Pierce Counties gathered for a transformative day of learning, sharing, and fellowship.
Here's what attendees had to say about last year's conference:
Very impressive—beautifully run, excellent speakers, creative worship.
Enlightening, humbling, promising, buoyant with hope
Very positive and uplifting. Well organized and everything flowed nicely. Enjoyed the time to visit with people in an unstructured situation as well as exchanging ideas and hopes in the classes.
Wonderful! I was greeted with so much love I had a bit of an emotional moment when I first walked in the church.
Last year and this year were one of my most favorite conferences. I was thrilled more people from my own church attended this year due to my raving about the quality.
It is unusual that so much insight and good visioning for the future is available in such a concentration. Congratulations.
Another Weaving Our Strengths Conference - Please!
We hope you can join us this year on October 22nd!
